Tim & I decided last minute to jump in the car to visit Tyler & Ricky in Cali-forn-nigh-yay. It was so much fun! We were treated like royalty with trips to the beach, a trip to the getty, incredible home-made dishes, cable tv & some much needed family time. Owen loved them both right away and was even giggling at Ricky the first night! Another minor miracle, Owen has slept 6-7 hrs straight almost every night since our first night in Cali! Tyler & Ricky’s place must be very zen.
A day or two before we headed home we were convinced to stop by Saint George as a birthday present to my brother. It was so nice to see everyone again since the wedding visit was so chaotic. The boys had so much fun together and everyone was in heaven with those two little boys. JoLyn & Brian were there as well and we were so glad to get a chance to see them before they leave the country. Plus, JoLyn & I were able to get our haircuts together and I ended up completely copying hers! To top it off I wore my shirt that looked eerily similar to hers. It reminded me of the days when people thought we were twins because my mom dressed us up in matching outfits, ha!
But alas, we have returned and are counting down the days when we are able to see them all again.

this face melts my heart. he sure does look like his dad, but when he smiles, he is ALL mom.
Being home more makes me see all the things I want to change. A few nights ago my naked wall was calling my name. (does that sound dirty? ha!) I’m no expert at wall arrangements so there are quite a few new holes but the end result has left me content.
Wa-lah.
Owen has exploded! He has always been a big boy but he is HUGE. He had his 8 week appointment yesterday and he is 13 lbs, & 24 in! His cousin Linkon is 2 1/2 months older than him and only has 2 lbs on him! Who’s child is this?! Tim & I are tiny! (Both height & weight!) He sure does look like us & that continues to be our only proof. He is so much fun now that he coos, smiles & even giggles! He started just a day or two ago & since then he has not stopped! He still isn’t giving mom & dad very much sleep at night but hopefully he will throw us a bone more than once or twice. We love our little Chunky Monkey!

no more weddings for this family! jolyn & brian were married last weekend and it was a gorgeous wedding. My mom & sisters did EVERYTHING! The flowers, the cake, the dresses, you name it, they did it! JoLyn looked amazing and it was so fun to meet Brian’s family & see our family members again! it was non-stop partying for 3 days so we were pretty pooped but it was a blast.
boy oh boy what tim and I would do for a full nights sleep! but what a cute kid we have instead! Owen is getting so big & fast! He turned one month on the 21st and now weighs over 10 lbs! he’s getting pretty chunky & it is adorable. He is looking like his Dad more and more everyday.
I’ve decided to spare everyone the birth story so as not to deter anyone from having children. Suffice to say it was 22 hrs long (the last 3 without ANY pain meds! 
) and I got a 3rd degree tear after they vaccumed him out. Ouch. I won’t be doing that again for quite awhile.
Tim’s semester is now finished and he just started his summer externship. So far he likes it a lot and we are very excited that he is half way done now! We’re anxious to see where life takes us after his graduation and where we end up!
jolyn’s wedding is coming up next weekend and we are SO excited to see everyone who has come into town for it. We leave next week for utah and I can’t wait! I’m excited for Owen & Linkon to finally meet as well! I hope they become good friends as well as close cousins.
Also, those of you who will be in St. George, we are blessing Owen at the Winchester Hills Chapel May 31st at 11am. All are welcome!

forgive the blogging hiatus. with no internet at home and a needy baby you can imagine the loads of time I have to sneak to the office to post. Hopefully these will tide you over the next few weeks that i most likely will be at home internet-less.
