Tim started his 2nd year of Pharmacy school yesterday! Thankfully Tim’s schedule changed a little and we don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn every week day. Only 2 more years of schoolwork, one year of rotations & we’ll be saying, “Hello!” to DR. Timothy Wood! As for me, school starts next Tuesday & though I cut my schedule in half [last semester was ridiculous. i was waaaay over ambitious] I am still nervous about my Statistics class. Forgive us if we are a little boring for the next few months, that tends to happen when school is the only thing on the calendar. 😦

Tim & I finally ventured out and did something else that we could only do in New Mexico! [We’ve been here over a year & have only been to the Balloon Fiesta!] We went to the John Robert Dam & took our new camera out for a spin. We’re far from experienced but we had a lot of fun with all the settings. Here is our first attempt:

This story broke my heart for the little girl in the background. I can’t imagine what that did to her self-esteem & not being able to take credit for her efforts must’ve been just as painful. 😦
BEIJING — A 7-year-old Chinese girl was not good-looking enough for the Olympics opening ceremony, so another little girl with a pixie smile lip-synced “Ode to the Motherland,” a ceremony official said — the latest example of the lengths Beijing took for a perfect start to the Summer Games.

Is it just me, or is it unnerving to see a man in a v-neck showing off his chest?

I love my polaroid! It’s so much fun to look for great pictures & see them instantly develope. The film is a little pricey [every shot I took Tim would mention it was $1.60 per photo! ha!] but I had so much fun taking pictures around the park this weekend.
My Firsts:
Tim & I grew this strawberry on our porch! It was our very first produce of the season! 🙂

The following story proves it to be true.
Tim & I have been debating buying a nice camera for quite awhile. Tim is very thorough whilst I am very impatient. In a previous situation Tim took so long to decide that the price on the item went up considerably & I vowed to never let his slowness in decisions cost us twice. After weeks of nagging I set my foot down and demanded an answer. Here was his response:
“You suck at things like this! I was going to buy it and surprise you with it but you just couldn’t wait, could you?”
I felt awful. Perhaps I should pay more attention to old proverbs. Thankfully my husband loves me regardless of my nagging & still bought me the camera. 🙂 I’m so excited!
And as if I weren’t spoiled enough, he also let me get this:
It comes with a camera case, & film! I found it on craigslist for $15!

Literally. I found this necklace on sale at Target & instantly fell in love with it. I’ve been wearing it constantly [almost everyday!] That is, until last night when Tim informed me that it is turning my neck GREEN. Yuck.
