the perfect saturday night.

I’m a complainer, I will come right out and admit it. Saturday (yes, I work Saturdays, so lame!) I was complaining about how hungry I was to Tim (all this kid wants me to do it EAT!) & asked if he could possibly walk to the store so dinner would be ready when I got home. I came home a tad grumpy as I had just finished a work week & was starving & came home to find a feast!

Tim had made me spaghetti! He had heard me wishing for Sammie’s spaghetti for weeks & surprised me by making it for me, & he doesn’t even like spaghetti! And he didn’t stop there! My meal was complete with a ceasar side salad with the good croutons & a pillsbury roll already buttered. He also brought home my favorite IBC Cream Soda as an added treat. 🙂

After seeing this glorious sight I immediately threw my arms around him & gave him a big hug & kiss. He continued to surprise me by taking me to Sephora, (I needed an eyeliner brush) & he was so good! He held his tongue almost the entire time & made me laugh while waiting in line by mocking a fellow asian who was super annoying. (I’m not naive enough to think that ALL asians are cool, but the majority of us are. 🙂 He even walked through Barnes & Noble with me laughing at all the funny books they had. (ie: the rock bible: verse 6 only throw out picks to the audience if someone actually wants it.) And as if that we’re even he stayed up til 1:30 in the morning watching “Heroes,” with me (we JUST started watching the 1st season, we’re late bloomers, I know) & didn’t even take a break to study once!

All in all, it was the perfect night with my wonderfully sweet husband. 🙂

fiesta=party

I am SO excited! This year for Albuquerque’s Yearly Balloon Fiesta we have convinced dear brother Robert & his lovely wife Kari to party with us! The guys at my work are so excited to play him in ping pong that one of they even offered to give him $30 in gas money! I can’t wait! With family in tow, the husband, our new camera, & hopefully bff & hubby–you just can’t go wrong! So the countdown begins! Only 2 weeks til opening day!

what i’ve been up to.

my allergies are kicking my butt lately. As bad as my nausea in the 1st trimester has been, my allergies have taken the cake. Coughing, sneezing, nausea, itchy eyes & the ever seductive coma effect. luckily there’s not much i can take and none of them actually work, plus the added bonus that albuquerque has YEAR LONG allergy season. Poor Tim has had to put up with pregnancy “i don’t know what i can eat,” along with snot rag piles all over the house. Now I’m even more eager for winter to come!

stroke of luck!

Tim & I had an incredible stroke of luck last night when a friend from our church called & said they had extra tickets for a concert tonight & we could have them for FREE! Turns out Augustana, Counting Crows & Maroon 5 were playing at the Journal Pavillion! We left a little late because of work & missed Augustana (bummer! I was so sad. :-(..) but Maroon 5 was amazing! I had so much fun rocking out (& Tim had fun protecting me from the crazies next to me!) They even at one point turned off all the lights and had us pull out our cell phones & sing along to, “Won’t Go Home Without You.” Cliche as it sounds it looked amazing! I was way too paranoid of the crowds to bring our nice camera but was so sad I missed the cell phone constellation! We had to leave a little early since the people next to us lit up a joint. I figured our baby didn’t need to experience 2nd hand weed at such a young age so we headed out. Nonetheless it was a great time & was so nice of our friends to grant us access!
